Competitive pricing is definitely a must, but without quality and service, it is useless. Many companies can deliver a competitive price, but not many can also back up the price with quality and service. Swartz Electric does. Since 1960 Swartz Electric has built a reputation with homebuilders that is unsurpassed. We urge you to click on “CLIENTELE” and check this out for yourself.
Our efficiency starts with our sophisticated estimating system. Once an estimate is done it is an easy task to create exact kits with the material to do the job complete on the first trip. Work orders are also created that tell the electrician exactly what the home gets. This includes service information, the exact number and size of each circuit, specifications for the home and subdivision and if the home is within a city jurisdiction, any city requirements above the National Electric Code.
Let’s talk about our electricians for a moment. Our electricians and apprentices are the most qualified of any in the Greater Houston area. We strongly encourage education so they not only know what to do, but also why to do it. Many have and are attending the Independent Electrical Contractors Association electrical apprenticeship school. But most important of all, our electricians “care”. Many people know how to do a good job, but most do not perform up to their abilities. Our electricians and apprentices take pride in their work and this is evident when one talks to our customers.
What about supervision? For the electrical, the Greater Houston area is split into numerous areas with one well trained supervisor in charge of each area. Each supervisor reports to our field construction manager. Each supervisor also has several assistants. Our associate security company, Texas Home Electronics, also has two field supervisors. So you can feel comfortable that your home is getting top notch supervision.
Builders are amazed how quickly we can get the job done and yet still maintain the high standard of quality which they require. How is this accomplished? Time tested systems save time. First, since extra time was spent on the estimate finding out all the details of the job we know exactly what to do “before” we start the job. The right material is sent to the job. Our electricians are specialists in residential wiring. To save you time our electricians have also been trained to install audio, video, data, structured wiring, intercom and security systems. This usually saves the builder at least a day on their schedule. Time is money. .
For intercom, structured wiring and security trim-outs, our associate, Texas Home Electronics, performs this work because that is their specialty. They can also set the homeowner up for monitoring. And how about a central vacuum system? Texas Home Electronics can do this as well.
Swartz Electric can provide complete electrical service for residential contractors. This includes estimating, load analysis, one-line service diagrams as well as installation of electrical, voice, video, data, security, structured wiring and central vacuum systems. We also supply light fixtures and ceiling fans.
With a reputation second to none in the Greater Houston area, a track record dating back to 1960 and well over 100 vehicles, each with qualified electricians, Swartz Electric is the choice of builders demanding high quality at a competitive price on time.
Speaking of saving time, our electricians are cross trained to install not only the electrical wiring, but also the voice, data, security and structured wiring systems. This saves the builder time because they do not need to deal with a second contractor.
Swartz Electric uses a very sophisticated estimating system designed in house and for residential work only. We also have the capability of having blueprints emailed to us in Autocad format or going to a builder’s website and downloading blueprints ourself and then printing them in the proper scale. This is a great cost savings for many of our customers.
Since we not only install electrical wiring systems, but also audio, video, data, structured wiring, intercom, security and central vacuum systems as well as furnish lighting fixtures and ceiling fans “one call truly does get it all”.
Before bidding a job, our estimators will ask an array of questions in order to formulate bids that are complete, accurate and do not contain unwanted costs. You will be asked questions about such items as the location of the utility company power source, whether you would like an underground or overhead service entrance, the preferred location of the meter and load center, types, tonnages and manufacturer of air conditioning equipment, whether the heating, water heating and cooking are gas or electric, if there are other dedicated circuits such as for a microwave oven, freezer or hydromassage tub and type of switches and receptacles. You will also be asked about the other services described in the paragraph above. Light fixtures and ceiling fans can be selected several ways. You can use one of our several manufacturers’ catalogs, visit our show room or simply give us a budget with general guidelines on the type of light fixtures and ceiling fans wanted and we will develop the package for you.
Our estimators thoroughly go over each blueprint. Any items which need to be added to bring the plan up to the National Electric Code or up to any local jurisdiction requirements where the home is being built are added. If there are any additions or deletions we feel would benefit both the builder and the homeowner we will make suggestions. A load analysis is calculated for each home we bid to insure not only that the service size we put in our bid is large enough, but also that it is not oversized, thus adding unwarranted cost.
When you receive our bids, whether for a custom home or a track home, they will specifically outline all the items contained in our bid as well as the draw schedule for your budgets. This prevents any confusion once the jobs start and makes the actual work go much faster.
Swartz Electric provides a complete line of light fixtures from a starter home to an upscale home at a very competitive price. Swartz Electric providing the light fixtures eliminates many builder problems. Instead of the builder’s superintendent having to call the light fixture supplier about a wrong fixture, a missing fixture, a broken globe, a missing thumb screw and on and on, Swartz Electric handles all these problems, so your superintendent can do his job; supervising the construction of the home.
Swartz Electric can provide complete low voltage service for residential contractors. This includes estimating as well as installation of voice, video, data, security and structured wiring systems.
With a reputation second to none in the Greater Houston area, a track record dating back to 1960 and well over 100 vehicles, each with qualified technicians, Swartz Electric is the choice of builders demanding high quality at a competitive price on time.

We can also provide the actual speakers and receivers and even the television.
Our electricians are cross trained to also install voice, video, data, security and structured wiring systems. This saves the builder time because they do not need to deal with a second contractor.

Wouldn’t you love the convenience of a central vacuum system? No more dragging the vacuum cleaner around the house getting the cord tangled up in the furniture. Swartz Electric’s associate, Texas Home Electronics supplies and installs complete systems. With outlets conveniently spaced around the house life becomes easier.
Swartz Electric supplies and installs ceiling fans with light kits for many of our customers. They are available in many styles and colors. Why make yet another telephone call to get your ceiling fans installed? If we are providing your ceiling fans when you schedule your electrical trim-out the ceiling fans automatically go out with the electrical trim-out. We determine ourself if any extensions are needed and best of all the extensions are always “free”.
